times change

Could it be the first advertisement appeared just 17,000 years or so ago painted on the cave walls near Lascaux? Maybe it was all about the paleolithic worker getting away for a weekend of fun and relaxation at the nearby hunting grounds.

Then came Egypt's pharaohs whose hieroglyphic messages were inscribed in stone. Not the most comfortable brochure to carry in your pocket.

In 1440 Johannes Gutenberg invented the first movable type printing press and opened the floodgates of printed literature. Trees were cut down to make paper and unsolicited junk mail soon followed.

Communication through radio and television caused us to listen and see more than ever before in historical times, but then (drum roll) came the internet. With just a keyboard and the click of the mouse, the world unfolds before your eyes– sounds, visual images and information. Lots of information. More is added by the minute and, unlike television, it's there to read again and again like a book.

So, times change. Is your information on the internet?

Fire Branch Studio designs informational web sites. Everyday, people go the internet more and more to find services, products, store hours, phone numbers and maps or directions. Savvy people expect a successful business to have presence on the web. It doesn't have to be elaborate or over the top. It just needs to be there, reassuring the public that you are serious about doing business.

Show the world you can communicate using the latest technology. Contact Fire Branch Studio to design your informational web site for changing times..
