My name is Kay Taylor and I use the business name Fire Branch Studio. For those people who really want an "About Us" page, this is for you.
Forget the sixties. I began getting my highs inhaling the heady aroma wafting from a new box of crayons in the fifties. While draft cards were burning, I sat entralled through hours of art history classes. Later, I began designing and building meticulously crafted and time-intensive stained glass panels. They must have been the latent effect of viewing all those cathedral windows in art history. Fire Branch Studio was formed and I pitched my 10'x10' white tent at the art-in-the-park festivals. Then, abandoning the starving artist's life, I followed my kids to school and found myself troubleshooting PCs and working with the teachers' web sites.
I'm still entranced by the changing qualities of light streaming through colored glass. Maybe that's why I'm equally captivated with the glow of a high resolution monitor when it's displaying something artful. So now my challenge lies in taking the five elements – shape, hue, line, texture, and value and converting them to css and xhtml.
